What we do
As part of our Mission as a church, we want to serve God and his people. To do this we have created several groups. Check them out below! If you are interested, click on the contact us button to connect with a member of our staff.
- Sunday School
Come on out and join on Sunday School Class during service. This is for ages four till 6th grade. Sundays at 9 am.
- Community Meal
Enjoy a home cooked meal and fellowship at our community meal. Last Wednesday of every month from 4:30-6 pm.
- Food Pantry
Need some assistance with food? Let us help. Come by on the third Saturday of the month from 9-11 am.
- Youth Group
Join our Youth Groups! Grades 5-12 are welcome. Group includes games, devotions, and food. We meet the last Sunday of the month from 3-5 pm.
- Grief Share
If you have suffered the loss of a loved one Grief share may be the group you are looking for.
- Celebrate Recovery
Celebrate Recovery is not just for addicts. Celebrate Recovery can be beneficial for anyone who needs a christian based 12-step program.
- Baby Bottle Ministry
Donate change and small bills to help mothers and newborns.
- Card Ministry
Help organize, buy, or sell cards. This way everyone can send cards to their loved ones at a free.
- Hospitality Team
Become an usher, greeter, or hospitality table worker. Help others feel at home while they visit GSPUMC
- Cub SCouts
GSPUMC has the privileged of hosting cub scout pack 315. Join the pack today or volunteer to help lead the leaders of tomorrow.
- Emmaus Walk
Join fellow church members on a special trip to experience the grace of God. This is a weekend adventure where you can grow your faith and learn more about the love of God.
- Esther Circle
One of our many women’s groups. These women meet together to join in faith and mission.
- Faith Study
A bible study class that takes a look at the bible in a different way. Not only do they learn about the scriptures, but how they might be applied to their own lives today.
- Family Christmas Project
Everyone deserves a great Christmas. At GSPUMC we sponsor several families each year to make sure this happens.
- Friends Class
A great bible study class that meets to talk about scripture and to take a new look at how it applies to their lives.
- Home Bound Visitations
One of the most important ministries a church can offer is to go to the people who can no longer go to the church. Volunteer to meet with those who can no longer join us on Sundays.
- Music Team
If you got talent and would like to share it with the congregation and praise God. Make sure to let our Pastor and Music Team know.
- Prayer Team
A recent survey found that our number one strength was our prayer. We formed a prayer team years a go to ensure that this would happen. Join the prayer team as they prayer for the church and help others in their prayer life.
- Preschool Volunteers
One of our most important ministries is our preschool. Volunteer to help our preschool and help guide the future generation.
- Sermon CD Delivery
Similar to our home bound visitations, we also record our worship services and bring copies to our home bound friends.
- Sisters In FellowShip
A women’s group that focus on faith and mission. The Sisters in Fellowship our a close group that work together to join in community and in faith to serve the world around them.
- UMCOR
We would not be United Methodist if we did not love to do missions. At GSPUMC we are involved in several UMCOR efforts.
- Worship LEadership
Like Public speaking and worship God? Volunteer to help lead our worship services.
- Acolyte
Help bring the light of Christ to the world. At GSPUMC we light a flame that was brought all the way from the holy land.
- Vision Team
GSPUMC Vision team is in charge of implementing God’s plan for the church. If you think God is calling you to take part in the vision of the church or start a new ministry, please contact the vision team!
